What is a Defined Event?
LiveSession allows you to create business-friendly names for the most crucial events in your application. This makes data more understandable for you and your team. For example, if there is an event that defines a click on an element with text “Sing up”, you can define it as a “Sign up” event. Under the hood, this is the same event as the definition, but with a more meaningful name.
How to create a Defined Event?
There are two ways to create a Defined Event. First, from the filters list, click on the “more options” button in “Event filters” section, and choose “Define event…”:
Second, navigate to Settings -> Events -> Defined Events, and click “Add event”, Then fill out the form:
Give your event a name
Write a description to give more context
Choose a base event definition from the events filter
