What is Zapier?
The Zapier integration seamlessly links your digital experience data with your daily-use platforms, enhancing your workflows with a customer-centric approach. Zapier simplifies web app data transfers, enabling you to concentrate on your key tasks. Here are a few sample workflows empowered by the Zapier integration:
Record customer orders in Google Sheets automatically.
Alert your Slack #bugs channel when errors events happened in your app.
Listen on missed checkout page and send remarketing emails to lost leads.
This guide will walk you through setting up the Zapier integration, and you can also explore alternative methods at the end of the article.
Setting up Zapier and LiveSession
1. To begin, make sure you have Zapier and LiveSession accounts. Zapier works by using triggers in one app to trigger actions in another.
In our case, LiveSession triggers will initiate actions in another app of your choice.
2. To start, log in to your Zapier account and create a Zap by clicking the black ”+” button or “Create Zap.” and find “LiveSession” app.
3. Next you have to choose action from list.
4. In next step you have to authenticate your LiveSession account. To do this you have to click “Sign in” button.
5. Zapier will showup modal with login page to LiveSession. You have to enter your email and password to LiveSession account.
6. You also need to authorize Zapier to your LiveSession account. Confirm it by clicking “Authorize access” button.
7. After this steps you should see your LiveSession account in Zapier.
8. Configure your trigger by choosing available options.
9. Now you can test your trigger by clicking “Test trigger” button.
10. After that you should see your test data.
11. For tutorial purposes let’s add Slack action. To do this you have to find another zapp. In this case it’s “Slack”
12. Let’s choose event “Send Channel Message”.
13. And connect with your Slack account.
14. Now you can use data from LiveSession in your Slack message.
15. After submit you should see test data in your Slack channel.
16. If everything is ok you can turn on your zap.
Above steps are only examples with test data available from Zapier setup. To use real data you have to use LiveSession API. You can find more information about it in API documentation.
